Question: Hooked up everything according to the manual for an Audi Q5 2011
but every time we touch the screen to activate navigation/DVD the screen
goes blank. Why is that happening?
Answer: When touching screen, the system will turn to CD/DVD function by default, in this situation the wire supposed to be connected to CD/DVD was connected to the screen, thus you don't have video signal, that's why it comes up with a black screen. Solution is switch the two wires of the DVD and screen.
It is very important must to put the LVDS box behind the the CD/DVD player (not behind screen) to prevent wrong connection.
